The Foreign Residents Attention Office was officially presented to the public on September 9th  2005, from the need of a place where the English  speaking residents could find assistance. The coordination job was left in the hands of Olivia del Corral, whose dedication turned out to be one of the principles for which FRAO now stands.

The objective of FRAO was, and still is, to be a link between services and foreign residents; a link that provides information, orientation and integration of the foreign and national communities.

With the foreign population of Rosarito being estimated in more than 14,000, FRAO grew to the point were pretty soon people needed information on how to adopt a pet, where to hire an electrician or where to volunteer their time. Now, it has become an office where newcomers and long time residents can find orientation for local routine procedures as well as adequate referrals in counseling such as: immigration, insurance, taxes, medical, dental, legal, cultural and social information to help them through the necessary steps to become a comfortable resident.

FRAO encourages the development and cooperative relationship between the Municipal and State offices and the foreign residents who have chosen Rosarito as their permanent or temporary place to live either for its diverse and natural richness like fishing, surfing, horseback riding, art buying, world class restaurants serving international cuisine and local specialties or just for a romantic walk on the beach.
